Dr. David Güemes-Castorena earned his D.Sc. in Engineering Management with a minor in Technological Innovation Management at The George Washington University.
He worked for six years with the Academy for Educational Development, creating and implementing executive decision-support systems in the US, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
He joined the Tecnologico de Monterrey (2004), specializing in the foresight planning of technological innovation. He has developed and implemented prospective planning systems in a variety of companies to improve their competitiveness through technological innovation.
He has published his research in journals such as Futures, Foresight, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Omega, EJORS, Emerging Cases, Nova Scientia, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Research, International Journal of Knowledge, Information Systems and Operational Research, World Patent Information, Asia Pacific Journal of Operational Research, Cogent Economics & Finance, E&G Economia e Gestão, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Review of Policy Research, Sensors, EJOR, International Journal of Agile Systems and Management.
He is a member of the National System of Researchers, a member and technical advisor of the National Technology and Innovation Award, and is an accredited evaluator for Conacyt projects.
He just completed his research stay at the MIT Sloan School of Management and continues to work on Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship Acceleration projects in the Monterrey region.
